Job Description A Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the physical infrastructure of a data center. The DCIM Engineer will work closely with other teams such as IT, facilities, and operations to ensure the data center is running smoothly and efficiently. Job Responsibilities: Design and implement data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems. Monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage, and network devices. Perform capacity planning to ensure the data center can handle current and future workloads. Develop and maintain data center documentation, including equipment inventory, floorplans, and infrastructure diagrams. Troubleshoot and resolve data center issues, including power, cooling, and networkproblems. Work with IT, facilities, and operations teams to ensure data center compliance withindustry standards and regulations. Plan and execute data center upgrades and migrations. Research and recommend new data center technologies and best practices. Provide training and support to other teams as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in data center infrastructure management. Strong understanding of data center technologies, including power, cooling, and network systems. Experience with data center monitoring and management tools Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
