Role Overview The Content Strategist, Amazon Marketplace will manage day-to-day content strategy and execution across a portfolio of brands within the Beauty, Wellness, and CPG categories. This person will develop creative briefs, maintain content roadmaps, and coordinate content development across marketplace surfaces—including Amazon PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Stores, image assets, and ad creative—to ensure work is compelling, accurate, and aligned with brand and marketplace best practices. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, creative, performance-minded, and fluent in marketplace content fundamentals. The Content Strategist will use established team frameworks, marketplace best practices, consumer insights, and performance data to identify content opportunities and develop recommendations across their accounts. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, partnering closely with Design, SEO, Performance Marketing, Insights, and Brand Strategy teams to bring marketplace content strategies to life while continuing to build expertise in performance-driven content optimization, testing, and strategic client leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day content strategy and execution for a portfolio of 7–10 marketplace accounts across Beauty, Wellness, and CPG brands, serving as the primary day-to-day content partner for assigned clients. Develop and maintain content roadmaps aligned with client objectives, seasonal priorities, new product launches, and evolving marketplace opportunities. Develop creative strategies and briefs across Amazon PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Stores, Bundles, and Ad Creatives (SP, SPV, SBAs, SBVs, DSP), translating brand strategy, SEO/AEO/GEO inputs, customer feedback, performance insights, and marketplace trends into actionable content recommendations. Apply established content frameworks and marketplace best practices across product catalogs, identifying opportunities for SKU-level customization and supporting prioritization across hero products, variants, newness, and seasonal initiatives. Manage content development and execution for new product launches, coordinating marketplace content requirements, deliverables, and timelines with clients and cross-functional teams. Conduct regular content audits and review marketplace performance to identify gaps and optimization opportunities, leveraging a variety of proprietary and third-party tools, performance data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to support creative decisions. Support the development and execution of A/B and multivariate tests, documenting results and translating learnings into ongoing content updates and optimization opportunities. Partner closely with Design, SEO, Performance Marketing, Insights, and Brand Strategy to ensure content is delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand, performance, marketplace, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contribute to MBRs, QBRs, and other client presentations with content recommendations, project updates, performance insights, and testing learnings. Leverage AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, templates, and other emerging technologies to improve efficiency and scale content development, research, and briefing while maintaining a high standard of quality. Share emerging category trends, platform updates, and account learnings with the broader Content Strategy team to support continuous improvement and innovation. Requirements 2–3+ years of experience in ecommerce content strategy, marketplace strategy, merchandising, or digital creative roles, ideally with exposure to Beauty, Wellness, and/or CPG brands. Proven experience developing and optimizing Amazon content, including PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Stores, imagery, and copy, with proficiency in Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central. Experience managing multiple brands or accounts in a fast-paced agency, aggregator, or similar environment. Strong understanding of marketplace content best practices, consumer insights, and content-performance metrics, with the ability to translate learnings into actionable creative recommendations. Familiarity with marketplace SEO, AEO, and GEO principles and how they inform content strategy and discoverability. Hands-on experience supporting or executing A/B testing and using results to inform content optimization and creative decisions. Experience leveraging a variety of proprietary and third-party marketplace, consumer research, testing, and analytics tools to support content strategy and optimization. Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, with the ability to leverage AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and scale research, briefing, and content development while maintaining a high standard of quality. Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong presentation, collaboration, and communication skills, with comfort presenting recommendations and work internally and to clients. Ability to translate brand strategy, insights, and marketplace requirements into clear, actionable creative briefs.
