Job Summary
Analyze business needs and translate business requirements and solutions into clear technical requirements. The Technical Business Analyst works closely with clients to gather use cases, operational workflows, risks, and improvement opportunities, and documents them into technical specifications for system/application developers. Working within ITIL/ITSM frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Zendesk, the analyst supports the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and validation.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Works closely and effectively with technical and non-technical team members to understand and document problems, and to design, recommend, and deliver solutions.
  • Participates in all stages of the system/application development lifecycle, from analysis and design through implementation and validation.
  • Develops test plans, documents test results, and drives them to full completion.
  • Assists with testing and validation efforts to ensure implemented solutions and customizations function as designed and meet documented requirements.
  • Assists with providing support for issues identified during validation and post-implementation, when necessary.
  • Identifies and communicates risks and issues to stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Participates in and leads project meetings with business users to gather requirements and use cases.
  • Prepares proposals with detailed cost estimates and implementation timelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst related to enterprise technical systems and applications.
  • Proven ability to understand complex systems and end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience writing and conducting test plans.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Zendesk.
  • Proven ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and best practices, with the ability to apply them to requirements analysis and process design.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong service orientation, interpersonal skills, and a professional, disciplined approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL certification.
