Revenue Cycle Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Project Manager to lead strategic revenue cycle optimization initiatives within an Epic environment. This individual will oversee project planning, execution, build coordination, testing activities, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of revenue cycle enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, Epic Revenue Cycle applications, and large-scale implementation projects, including patient financial engagement solutions such as Penny and Emmie.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for Epic Revenue Cycle optimization initiatives.
• Oversee the design, build, testing, and deployment of revenue cycle enhancements and workflow improvements.
• Manage the implementation of Penny and Emmie solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, risk logs, and status reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including operational stakeholders, Epic analysts, vendors, and technical resources.
• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure successful execution of system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness activities.
• Monitor project performance and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership.
• Support change management, training coordination, and adoption efforts related to revenue cycle initiatives.
• Promote best practices for project governance, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of healthcare project management experience, with a focus on Revenue Cycle initiatives.
• Experience leading Epic Revenue Cycle projects and optimization efforts.
• Proven experience managing system build, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.
• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle workflows, including patient access, billing, claims, and reimbursement processes.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Revenue Cycle application experience (Resolute, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Claims, or related modules).
• Experience implementing patient engagement and financial communications solutions, including Penny and Emmie.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with healthcare transformation, process improvement, or optimization initiatives.
