Senior Java/AI Developer, JR604

ELEKS Software Engineering & Development Office is looking for a Senior Java/AI Developer based in Buenos Aires for a hybrid position: 2–3 days per week onsite at our local office, with the remaining days remote.

Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00/7:00 PM ART

ABOUT PROJECT

The client is among the top-5 health insurance companies in the US. They are dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, cost-effective health care and equipping their members with information and tools so they can make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java and/or Python

• Hands-on experience working with LLMs (integration, evaluation, or architecture)

• Practical experience with prompt engineering

• Understanding of API design and backend service development

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

• Experience with vector databases and embeddings

• Cloud AI services experience (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.)

• MLOps or LLMOps exposure

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and build AI-powered features and services using LLMs

• Develop and maintain backend components in Java and/or Python

• Implement prompt engineering strategies and evaluate model outputs

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications

• Stay current with emerging LLM tooling, frameworks, and best practices

• Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery practices
