About the Role
Democrance is a mature microinsurance SaaS startup. We are building software to help bridge the gap between insurance companies and those who are not insured or under-insured. Our platform is high traffic, mobile-first, and SMS-based, requiring significant compliance and security measures, especially for deployments in countries with variable infrastructure quality. We are now incorporating AI to automate underwriting and data collection, aiming to reduce insurance costs and reach wider, underserved markets.
Tech Stack
Our tech stack includes Vue.js on the front end, with Django predominantly used in the back end. Our analytics dashboard utilizes Pyramid and SQLAlchemy. We have extensive third-party API integrations. Standard practices include Gitlab, unit tests, and continuous integration. Our DevOps stack comprises Ansible and Terraform, and we operate across major cloud providers as well as some smaller ones. Our development team is mature and international, including individuals with PhDs. Our QA Automation stack is built with Selenium in Java, and we are exploring Playwright as a complementary technology.
Required Skills & Experience
- Understanding of GIT.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and debugging related issues.
- Experience with TestNG, Maven, or Gradle is welcome.
We are seeking both experienced and junior candidates. Industry experience is a plus.
