About the Role This is a founding product marketing leadership role at a legal AI technology company, reporting to the Head of GTM and working directly with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Sales, and customers. You will own how the company explains itself to the world, setting direction and standards across messaging, content, and sales narrative rather than personally producing every asset. What You'll Do Develop positioning and messaging that turns complex technical capabilities into simple, differentiated customer value. Own the editorial calendar, setting the agenda for what the company says next and when. Build product launch stories before collateral, defining the problem, message, audience, proof, and narrative. Write and edit across all company voice touchpoints: website copy, product pages, emails, blogs, social, scripts, presentations, and sales materials. Partner with executives to turn their thinking into compelling posts, videos, panels, and interviews. Spend time with customers, Sales, and Success to capture real buying language and bring it back into marketing. Direct video and content strategy, deciding what to make, who delivers it, and what the hook is, and present on camera yourself when needed. Create sales enablement materials that explain key products in 30 seconds, five minutes, or a full enterprise conversation. Track competitors and the broader AI market to sharpen the company's positioning. Partner with performance marketing, using what converts to refine the narrative. What We're Looking For 7+ years of experience in product marketing, communications, or storytelling roles in AI, enterprise software, legal tech, or comparably complex product environments. Demonstrated experience in law, legal tech, legal journalism, or marketing to legal audiences, with a clear understanding of how lawyers think, what they trust, and how they buy. Exceptional writing and editorial judgment across formats: headlines, product narratives, emails, scripts, and web copy. Proven ownership of product positioning and messaging, translating technical capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions. Experience planning and executing product launches end to end. Experience directing video and content production, including comfort presenting on camera. Ability to develop sales enablement narratives at multiple depths for different audiences. Experience conducting customer research and interviews to extract real language and buying motivations. Comfortable working across product, engineering, sales, and external agencies while maintaining strategic direction. Proficiency with modern AI tools to improve productivity and output quality. Background as a former lawyer turned marketer, legal or business journalist, or performance marketing strategist is a strong plus. Must be based in the United States with meaningful Eastern Time availability and willingness to travel periodically. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $180,000 to $225,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Location Fully remote within the United States, with meaningful Eastern Time overlap and periodic travel required.
