About the Role
Charles Technology Africa seeks to hire a Web Developer to independently design, develop, and maintain both external and internal Websites and applications that leverage the WordPress Content management system.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Strong HTML, CSS, PHP and Java Script skills
- Expert level Wordpress experience and capabilities
- Ability to integrate WP websites with other applications
- Experience with Cpanel or other managed hosting platforms
- Proficiency with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
- Working knowledge of Apache, Linux Ubuntu, MySQL
- Understanding of web accessibility
- Ability to work well in a team structure
- A passion for quality design and a drive for innovation
- Ability to take a concept from sketch or wireframe to final implementation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Analytical, organized and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and switch quickly and comfortably between projects as determined by supervisor, clients or other circumstances
- Experience developing custom WP themes and plugins a plus
