We’re looking for a creative, highly organized E-Commerce & Creative Operations Assistant to help operate and grow a developing online consumer brand. This is a true jack-of-all-trades role for someone who enjoys eCommerce, design, social media, internet culture, merchandising, and figuring things out.
You’ll report directly to the founder, but we’re looking for someone who can take significant ownership of the day-to-day operations of the brand . The ideal person doesn’t need to be given a detailed checklist every morning — they can identify what needs to get done, prioritize it, and make it happen.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the business grows. What You’ll Do You’ll help manage nearly every part of the day-to-day eCommerce operation, including: ● Managing and updating our Shopify store ● Creating, editing, uploading, and organizing products ● Working with Printify and other print-on-demand / fulfillment platforms ● Building product collections and improving product pages ● Creating graphics, product mockups, website assets, advertisements, and social content ● Using Photoshop regularly for design and image editing ● Helping develop new merchandise and product ideas ● Managing Instagram and other social media channels ● Creating and scheduling social content ● Writing captions and assisting with short-form marketing copy ● Managing our email newsletter and email marketing calendar ● Creating newsletter graphics and layouts ● Helping plan promotions, launches, seasonal campaigns, and product drops ● Monitoring orders, products, inventory, fulfillment, and basic customer issues ● Keeping the website organized, current, and visually strong ● Reviewing basic store, social, and email analytics to understand what is working ● Researching trends, products, competitors, and new opportunities ● Handling miscellaneous administrative and operational projects as they arise Because we’re a small operation, the responsibilities will evolve. You should be excited by that rather than intimidated by it.
Must Haves
Very comfortable with eCommerce. Previous experience working with an eCommerce brand is strongly preferred. Experienced with Shopify.
You should understand products, collections, pages, discounts, navigation, apps, and the general Shopify ecosystem. Familiar with Printify. Experience with Printify, Printful, Gelato, or similar print-on-demand platforms is highly preferred.
Great with Photoshop. This is an important part of the role. You should be comfortable creating polished graphics, editing existing artwork, preparing product files, and creating mockups and marketing assets.
AI-forward. We strongly believe AI should be used as a tool to make good people faster and more capable. You should already be comfortable experimenting with AI for things like brainstorming, copywriting, research, design workflows, organization, analysis, and repetitive tasks.
We are not looking for someone who uses AI instead of thinking. We’re looking for someone who knows how to combine good judgment and creativity with modern tools. The Person We’re Looking For: You are: ● Extremely organized ● Detail-oriented ● Creative ● Resourceful ● Fast without being sloppy ● Comfortable working independently ● A strong written communicator ● Good at writing concise, engaging marketing copy ● Social-media savvy ● Familiar with current internet culture and trends ● Visually opinionated and able to recognize strong versus mediocre creative ● Comfortable looking at analytics and making basic decisions from data ● Willing to learn unfamiliar software ● Comfortable wearing many hats ● Proactive about finding problems and solving them ● Someone who says, “I can figure that out.” Perhaps most importantly, you take ownership. If you notice that a product page looks bad, a newsletter should go out, a social account hasn’t been updated, a product needs a better mockup, or something on the website isn't working properly, we want you to take the initiative rather than wait for someone to assign it.
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following is a plus: ● Klaviyo or other email marketing platforms ● Canva, Illustrator, or other Adobe Creative Cloud tools ● Meta Business Suite / Ads Manager ● TikTok ● Short-form video editing ● SEO ● Google Analytics ● Shopify analytics ● Basic paid social advertising ● Customer service ● Copywriting ● Print-on-demand apparel or merchandise ● Consumer brands, novelty brands, streetwear, gifts, apparel, or internet-native businesses ● Product photography or creating realistic product mockups ● Influencer or creator outreach What This Role Is Really About: We’re looking for someone who can become the day-to-day operator behind an eCommerce brand.
One hour you might be editing artwork in Photoshop. The next you may be adding products to Shopify, scheduling an Instagram post, fixing a Printify listing, writing an email campaign, researching a new product idea, or organizing an upcoming launch. If you like variety, creative freedom, internet culture, eCommerce, and being trusted with real responsibility, you’ll probably enjoy this role.
