Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Trainer / Outreach Coordinator to join our team.

This is a remote position.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking an entry level Geospatial Trainer / Outreach Coordinator to support the development, design, and delivery of presentations, briefings, and geospatial products for training and demonstration purposes. This position will provide customer outreach and technical support to the Homeland Security community by answering questions, troubleshooting technical issues, delivering technical demonstrations, communicating geospatial information, and conducting research as requested. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in geospatial technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively translate technical information for a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop, design, and deliver presentations, briefings, and geospatial products for training and demonstration purposes.
  • Support training activities and demonstrations in accordance with client requirements.
  • Perform customer outreach and respond to questions related to geospatial technologies and products.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and provide appropriate assistance or recommendations.
  • Deliver technical demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical geospatial information effectively to members of the Homeland Security community.
  • Research geospatial and technical information as requested and provide findings to support customer needs.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop effective training and outreach materials.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, presentations, and other outreach materials.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with government clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Two years of specialized experience in geospatial technologies, training, technical outreach, customer support, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear and engaging presentations and technical demonstrations.
  • Ability to communicate technical geospatial information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, GIS, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting federal government or Homeland Security programs.
  • Experience developing geospatial products or training materials.
  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies.
  • Experience conducting technical demonstrations or customer outreach.
  • Familiarity with geospatial data, mapping, and GIS concepts.
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Security clearance or eligibility for federal clearance.
