About the Role
Assist Employment and Litigation counsel with managing active cases, collect and organize company documents and data, research employment statutes, regulations and key case law and report findings to counsel, implement AI solutions specific to synthesizing case-specific information, assist with insurance and financial reporting.
Primary Duties
Case-specific paralegal work :
- Maintaining case calendars
- Managing discovery needs
- Collecting and organizing documents & data
- Scheduling interviews
- Working with outside counsel, etc.
Conduct legal research on employment statutes, regulations, and case law. Synthesize findings into clear summaries to support legal decision-making.
Implement and maintain legal technology & AI solutions to enhance service delivery and streamline processes.
Assist in managing outside counsel and vendors, overseeing budgets, billing, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of six years of experience as a paralegal, with substantial experience in employment law and litigation.
- Familiarity with employment law fundamentals: Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and state equivalents.
- Proven expertise in discovery and e-discovery technology and processes.
- Experience in legal operations, including managing outside counsel, vendors, budgets, and billing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in a legal or professional context — e.g., using Claude, ChatGPT, CoCounsel, NotebookLM, Harvey, or similar for research, drafting, or summarization.
- Ability to evaluate AI output critically: knowing when to trust it, when to push back, and how to prompt effectively.
- Genuine enthusiasm for, and proficiency with, legal technology solutions, AI tools, and project management methodologies.
