Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and maintenance for a former mining facility, encompassing the mine and tailing sites and supporting facilities. The Operations Manager provides direct leadership to operations, and maintenance staff; oversees reporting and compliance; and serves as the primary operational interface with the owner, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, and contractors. The Operations Manager shall be responsible for all operations including organizational capabilities, monthly invoicing and cashflow, HSE requirements, subcontracting, scheduling, management of change, Business Partner Interface, and all other aspects of the Project.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mining, metallurgical, chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering (or related discipline) and 8+ years or relevant operational experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Valid Driver's license, subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Successful candidate will have to pass a background check, and a client administered drug/alcohol assessment. Successful Candidate will be enrolled in a medical surveillance program after starting. Ability to meet site specific requirements.
Due to the nature of the role, US Citizenship or Green Card holder is needed. Sponsorship for this role is not available. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of relevant operational experience Demonstrated leadership in high-hazard industrial environments with strong safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies, and equipment specifications; strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills. Willingness to work at remote sites and adapt to multi-shift/roster schedules, including emergency call-outs. The Operations Manager will be required to spend at least 30% of their time in Questa, NM. Current OSHA HAZWOPER training
