Job Description As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you’ll provide legal support and services to our product and business teams. You will review, interpret, and match legal requirements to business scenarios and effectively communicate these to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, requests for proposals, and other legal documents. Provide legal support and advice to product and business teams. Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and protection regulations, including the EU and UK GDPR. Balance risks in business processes and decision making.
Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from an accredited university. Membership in a Canadian provincial or territorial law society. 2+ years of experience as a tech legal counsel (in-house or a law firm). Strong negotiating skills with both legal and business counterparties. Experience negotiating tech agreements (NDA, SaaS Agreement, EULA, MSA, SOW, DPA, etc.) Experience building trustful relationships with internal clients. Demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Ability to work independently.
